Accessibility

Whilst accessibility is not yet a legal requirement for websites in the UK, it’s certainly recommended!

Improving accessibility on your website ensures it’s available to wider audiences but can also have other benefits as well.  For example, by adding ALT tags to images, you not only ensure that people using screen readers can understand the meaning of the visual content on your site, you also ensure that software, particularly search engines can do the same, so that content becomes indexable and contributes towards giving you higher ranking.

Accessibility covers a variety of subjects from text size to usability.  The Web Content Accessibility Guide (WCAG) offers guidance and international standards for accessibility.

We can help offer solutions to test sites for WCAG accessibility and then also go on to optimise them to meet requirements.
